Medbank issued digital financial instruments (DFA) for the first time
MEDBANK JSC, a Russian IT company and developer of a similarly-namednext-generation digital healthcare platform, announced its entry into the digital financial assets market. The allocationtook place on the Tokeon platform, which is included in the register of information system operators of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
The issue was public—all Tokeon platform users were eligible to invest. The application collection process closed in less than 24 hours, demonstrating strong investor interest.
The company plans to use the funds raised to scale its business: to develop the platform, to expand functionality, to increase the number of users, as well as to implement innovative health monitoring technologies and to integrate with corporate healthcare systems.
This issue of the DFA marks the company’s first experience with digital financial assets and an important step in the digitalization of capital management.
As Medbank’s press service noted, entering the DFA market is not only a way to diversify capital sources and to ensure financial flexibility, but also an opportunity to test new formats for interacting with investors. Going forward, the company intends to continue issuing digital financial assets.
